Dr. Kate Goldsworthy

Senior Research Fellow, Textiles Environment Design, University of the Arts London

In September 2012, Kate Goldsworthy joined the project as Senior Research Fellow at TED/Chelsea College of Art & Design, University of the Arts London.  Kate’s previous roles include Course Director of MA Textile Futures, Central Saint Martin’s, and over 10 years experience as a design consultant specialising in sustainability and material innovation.  Her practice-led PhD project with TED/UAL explored the synthesis of new production technologies and lifecycle design as a catalyst for change in the textile recycling industry.

She has contributed to international conferences and publications and her design work has been exhibited at the Science Museum, the ICA and Crafts Council, (London), the Museum of Art, RISD (USA), and the Audax Textile Museum (Tilburg).
