Melanie Bowles

Melanie Bowles is Senior Lecturer in digital print at Chelsea College of Art and Design on the BA Textile course and principal author of Digital Textile Design– Laurence King Publishing 2011. She is a research member of TED (Textile Environmental Design),TFRC (Textile Futures Research Center) and Mode Uncut (Open Fashion Design Network, Finland). She has recently completed a new publication Print, Make, Wear – Creative projects for Digital Textile Design – publisher Laurence King 2015.

Melanie Bowles is the co-founder of The People’s Printwith Dr Emma Neuberg. They are a creative enterprise pioneering a brand new business model, which celebrates the new era of DIY digital textile design and print. They deliver workshops, competitions, how to publications, consultancy and products that promote the digital print industry and consumer centered design. The People’s Print is part of the makers collective Makerversity based in the vaults of Somerset House, London.
