Prof. Jonathan Chapman is Professor in Sustainable Design at the University of Brighton, UK, and Course Leader of the MA Sustainable Design. Engaging issues of design, ecology and the human condition, his research, teaching and consultancy reveal the behavioural phenomena that shape patterns of consumption and waste. Author of acclaimed book, Emotionally Durable Design (Routledge, 2005), his work is widely cited in international publications and broadcast media including, CNN International, New Statesman, New YorkTimes, The Telegraph, The Independent and several features and interviews on BBC Radio 4. In 2009, New Scientist described him as ‘a mover and shaker’, and, ‘a new breed of sustainable design thinker’.
